Interior design in Guildford
Guildford is around 13 miles from our Ashtead studio, and we work with homeowners across the town and its surrounding villages.
As Surrey's county town, Guildford has a remarkable range of homes: historic town-centre properties, Georgian and Victorian houses, country homes in the surrounding villages and new developments on the town's edges.
Gülçin's training as an architectural interior designer is especially valuable here, where layouts and period details need careful handling.

Homes where any change needs care and sensitivity.

Village and country homes

Common Challenges
What we see in Guildford homes
Constraints of older buildings
Historic homes come with low beams, thick walls and uneven floors. Good design works with them.
Small, dark rooms
Colour, lighting and layout can make compact period rooms feel generous.
Losing original details
Fireplaces, mouldings and joinery are easily lost in a renovation unless the design protects them.
Updating services sensitively
Modern lighting, heating and electrics need careful integration in older properties.
Our Approach
How we design homes in Guildford
Every Guildford project starts with a complimentary site visit and project appraisal. Gülçin visits your home, listens to how you live, and looks closely at the property itself: its age, its light, its proportions and the way it connects to the garden and street outside. That first conversation shapes a brief built around your life, not a showroom look.
From there, the design is developed through sample boards, floorplans and 3D visualisations, so you can see your Guildford home before any money is spent on site. Decisions on bespoke joinery, lighting and finishes are made together, and once working drawings are approved, skilled artisans and specialists are commissioned.
Our style is sculptural and organic, slightly asymmetrical, raw in texture and perfectly imperfect, and sustainability is core to it. True luxury is conscious, built on a "buy once, buy well" philosophy, so the pieces chosen for your home are made to last.
Because Gülçin coordinates and oversees the full installation, you aren't left managing trades and deliveries. You stay informed, involved in the decisions that matter, and free to get on with your life while your home comes together: whether you're in Guildford itself or nearby in Godalming, Weybridge, Cobham.
"Gulcin is the epitome of professionalism, always going the extra mile to meet her clients' exacting needs. She sees the detail other professionals miss."
